African Aviation marked 30 years of existence and the celebrations were held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on February 4th to February 6th, 2020. The conference was attended by Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) and Association of Aviation Training organizations(AATO), with a view to enhancing business relationships and exchange best practices in human resources development. Overseas MROs also attended the event.
Skymax flying School was not left out and she was represented by the director of Kenya Aeronautical College and Accountable Manager of Skymax Flying School MR. Samson Aketch. During his speech at the conference, Mr. Samson Aketch emphasized collaboration and sharing the ideas between aviation training schools across Africa and the world. He stated that Skymax is in the process of carrying out joint training with the Zambia Air Services Training Institute (ZASTI) as a leading example.

Our achievement has been based on collaboration as early as the year 2010, we collaborated with DENEL South-Africa. In addition whereby DENEL came and gave us support where we were not able to deliver the… Currently, we are looking to collaborating with ZASTI Zambia Air Services Training Institute based in Zambia to see what we can learn from them and what they can learn from us. Therefore collaboration has been a great thing for our school basically on learning from one another.
We have also trained a number of technicians around the continent and a number of them work in the Middle East of which we can boast. We have also trained students from neighboring countries, for example, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Seychelles.
However, we have had challenges over the past for example recognition of our students in other countries. In addition, these countries underrate our students saying you
