Commercial Pilot Licence – CPL

• The course prepares one to achieve a commercial pilot licence as issued by the CAA.
• The course duration is approximately 8-12 months
• The Minimum Flying Hours is 200 hrs.

CPL FLYING CURRICULUM

The flying training of CPL(A) course shall comprise a total of at least 160 hours.

Before flying the student is briefed by the flight instructor in the briefing room and a form is filled.

After every flight, the student is debriefed by the flight instructor and a form is filled.

CPL GROUND SCHOOL CURRICULUM

The aim of Theoretical knowledge curriculum (also referred as "Ground School)" is to train pilots to the level of theoretical knowledge required for the CPL according to Kenya Civil Aviation (PEL) regulations 47(1). CPL theoretical knowledge courses will comprise of seventeen (17) theoretical syllabi, 570 hours of instruction, which includes formal classroom work, slide/tape presentation, and computer-based training, progress tests, and sample exams. All teaching for purpose of this course is conducted in English. The theoretical syllabi analyze as follows:

• You must have a KCAA current private pilot license.
• And any other that may apply

This course will enable the student to apply for and enjoy the privileges of a commercial pilot licence as stated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
